BEHEMOTH Frontman Checks In From U.S. Tour

February 5, 2005

Polish black metallers BEHEMOTH are halfway through the West Coast leg of their U.S. "Demigod" tour. Commented frontman Nergal: "We have done 13 shows so far and I must say that's the best U.S. tour so far. Things are going very smoothly… All the Arizona shows went good, as usual. But California was nothing but awesome. We've just played a sold out show at Hollywood's Key Club, which was totally outstanding experience. The album has been out for two weeks now and crowds already know the songs and chant the lyrics. Also our SoundScan [numbers] are [indication] 'Demigod' is selling well, and [has] already doubled sales of our previous record. We are heading north now..."

In other news, BEHEMOTH were recently voted the No. 4 Best Live Band in the reader's poll of the U.K.'s Terrorizer magazine. They also landed at No. 10 in the Best Band category and had the tenth Best Album with their latest CD, "Demigod".

As previously reported, BEHEMOTH's video for the track "Conquer All", taken from their latest album, "Demigod", will receive its "Headbanger's Ball" premiere this Saturday, February 5 at 10:00 p.m. EST on MTV2.
